PLEASE: don't let your boys pee on the trees at the playground

You do make a good point. Planet Killer.

You are not going to catch any diseases from pee. I have no problem with a little boy or little girl going off to a secluded spot (although some parks don't have many of these) to pee. Would I rather they pee in a bathroom? Yes. But that is not always an option. I also think there is a difference though between a 3 year old peeing in a park and a 7 or 9 year old.

Discreet is the key word. I don't appreciate sitting on a bench and having a little boy peeing on the tree next to me.

Don't tell me you're turning "dumping potty on the street" into some green planet argument. Because that makes a lot of sense.

I think the pottette is great. Is it really any worse than diapers? It helped us to toilet train quickly since you feel more confident taking child out without diapers because you know you have something IF needed. So ultimately you end up using less diapers, I think.

I was at a public pool last summer, sitting on the side....A little boy, around 6...Got out of the pool, stood on the side, next to me..TOOK down his pants, and pee'd, right into the pool. In front of everyone. His Mother was right there and didnt do/say anything.

It could be worse, peeps!

That say-nothing mother sounds like a great example of a permissive parent who's teaching her child to be a narcissist.

Look, I'm the "plastic bags blow" PP who said we shouldn't equate a newly potty-trained 3 YO with a grown man. I don't think anyone is advocating that little boys whip out their weenies and pee next to a park bench. It's our job to teach our kids to use the potty in privacy. If there's not a bathroom, though, I'm not going to create confusion for my son by telling him to wet his pants. I'm going to take him to a secluded corner of the park so he can pee in private, both out of respect for himself and for others. It seemed like the OP was saying she'd never go back to Turtle Park because there's pee on the trees, though. And that's seems a bit extreme.

OP here - My beef was with the mom that allowed her kid to pee on the tree next to one of the toddler slides. In plain view, with kids and adults nearby. He was so close to me, I could see his penis and stream. Seriously, all I ask if to be discreet.

I have no problem with it, just be discreet, as PP's said.

Anyone know of a dog toilet that would fit in my SUV and/or stroller? I think I will teach my dog to use it and bag up her pee. Clearly picking up her poop is insufficient.

Oh, that would be so wonderful!

Well, if you mist stoop to the level of a dog, who doesnt know any better, than I'm sure you are fine with eating your food from a bowl on the floor and licking your privates to stay clean. You set your own standards.
