Its called Jewish geography and its sortof a game. The jewish population is so small that there is usually less like 2-3 degrees of separation (instead of 6) and many (but not all) jews will know people in common.

Really, because every time I turn around I'm bumping into another Jew. I'm not sure about it being "so small" anymore.

Sorry that we are crowding your space, but Jews are still only 1-2% of the US population and 4% of the DC/MD population. If you find there are too many Jews, I hear Idaho is nice.

You are in an area with a large Jewish population.

why women think they look better thin but really wrinkly?

what SAHMs with all kids in full day school really do all day long?

how anyone can be monogamous?

Anonymous wrote:I was wondering something too, why do 40 something (or more) white women insist in getting bone thin and dying their hair an obviously fake shade of blonde?

I no longer wonder about how AA women do their hair. I saw Chris Rock's Good Hair (movie). Thanks for enlightening us Mr. Rock!

why some people are simply not planners, even though a bit of planning would reduce their stress and enhance their lives by giving them the opportunity to have some enriching experiences?

Why are there GAY Republicans?

Ann Coulter says that gay people should be Republicans because once science is able to genetically determine homosexuality in the womb, "people will start aborting the gays." Of course, this is offensive because it assumes that there is something wrong with gay people? I don't care if my kid is gay just like I don't care if he's tall or short or has freckles or if he prefers math or English classes or red or blue.

I wonder why anyone pays attention to Ann Coulter.

Me first, what's up with black women who don't shave their legs? It doesn't bother me, and in fact, I am friends with, and have known a few women who don't shave but they have always been a.) white b.) a hippy or gutter punk type or c.) gay. It always throws me off when I see a very well groomed, attractive and nicely dressed black woman with hairy legs. Why do you do it? Is it personal preference? Laziness? Some sort of political statement? And it's not like they are trying to hide it either. . .
Not black but I always assumed it was because shaving your legs is a pain in the ass. Wish I could get away with not shaving!

Anonymous wrote:Why do drivers just sit in the left lane when they're not passing anyone?

And why do drivers stop at traffic lights leaving 1-2 carlengths of space between their own car and the one in front of them? Particularly when it means I'm right behind them and can't get into the turn lane that's opening up right next to them?

Lack of experience. They are planning on turning left and change lanes in advance. And they cannot estimate the distance (in case of stopping at car length).

I sometimes leave extra space in front so that I'll have room to go around the car in front of me if necessary, but I never block the entrance to a left turn lane if possible.

I wonder why people who are in a right turn only lane and not turning right--when they have plenty of room to move their call all the way into the next lane--only go half way and block people behind them from moving up and taking a right on red.

AA hair is much more prone to becoming ingrown hair. Leaves bumps, rashes, not a good thing. That is the reason for many AA women not shaving their legs on a daily basis.

And ministers in some churches. Lesbians can be ministers in some churches.

I was wondering why people who know nothing about judaism and christianity are always on DCUM expressing ignorant views on religion?

Would you be ok with some women who could vote or own property or hold a job?

I was wondering why some people care so much about other peoples' personal choices.

It's not a question of voting or property rights.

Believe it or not, this was in a CNN interview.

I am ok with some people being movie stars, dancers or CEOs but not everyone. Why should a rabbi or minister be any different? Are you up in arms about women not being allowed to play in the NFL too?

Well then.... I'm wondering why CNN gives the time of day to people like Ann Coulter.

I guess I can answer my own question. It's the $$$ - she says outrageous things and people tune in.

Why you care about other peoples' decisions, that may be different from your own decisions.
