What's causcasian food? Wonder bread and peanut butter? Caucasians aren't monolithic...the variety of food cultures in Europe alone is pretty vast.

So that was exactly my point. You can say the EXACT same thing about Indian food, Thai food, etc...

OP here. I thought I explained this. My top 3 are all from Asian countries. If they were French, Austrian, and Italian, then I probably would have written that I was partial to European cuisine (obviously ALL DIFFERENT). I absolutely hate "Americanized" Chinese food, and Japanese food is OK (but not in my top 10), so I certainly wasn't lumping all Asian food together. And yes, of course there are regional differences in each country, but I rarely see N Vietnamese vs S Vietnamese restaurants in this area (although I have traveled extensively there and realize the nuances).

1. Hong Kong cha chaan teng food (not available in DC, unfortunately)
2. Chilean (empanadas! Barros Luco sandwiches!)
3. Venezuelan (arepas)
4. Jamaican (particularly festivals and rundown...)

Yeah, I like Indian, but would not want to eat it the rest of my life less I wanted to die early from some sort of obesity related disease.

Is that common in India? Had no idea.

That's not a good indicator - many Indians are poor and poor people can't eat to their heart's content (quantity or richness of food).
