With Kaiser if you do not comply in the slightest they will mark it down in their notes. You will be sorry afterwords when they try to say you were "defiant". They really don't like any standing up for oneself.

Hi, person who revived this thread in 2021. Why did you reply to a post from 2013?

i got out of Kaiser when they became the Medicaid provider for the state of Maryland and many places around the country.

So let me get this straight- you didn’t want to be in the same waiting room or insurance company as poor people? That’s wild.

My parent is an OB and had tons of cases off the street where the woman didn’t have an OB and came in in labor to the hospital. They said those were the easy deliveries. They said poorer women had higher pain tolerances and were just easier deliveries all around. I personally never needed prenatal care for any of my 3 pregnancies. They were easy pregnancies and nothing ever went wrong.

I also dropped out of Kaiser for similar reasons. The place just didn't look clean.

This. After 41 weeks, there is no need to keep baby inside. It only increases risk--placentas have a shelf life. Why risk stillbirth? Truly?

Why risk maternal death with an unnecessary medical procedure if the baby is doing well on a NST?

Well clearly the answer is that your insurance company makes you.

Most doctors do the same.
