Thanks Jeff for the removal. I'm sorry people directed such frustration at you. I think you're a great site admin.

Thanks for removing the Facebook "share" too. I just realized that I "liked" the Expectant Moms forum a few weeks ago. I guess it's not that big of a deal, except that no one on Facebook knows I'm pregnant.

Not hitting these buttons is difficult on a touch screen.

Thank you for listening to the concerns. It is much appreciated.

*embarrassing.

I accidentally liked a TTC forum... I'm single, alone and almost too old to conceive. It made me look pretty pathetic

Thank you. I appreciate that you wanted to support them after all they've done for you, but how much more can they get out of us and get in our lives from this site alone and our searches? Even if I clear my searches, the ads are so specifically targeted. It's like they can see when I need to order a new product or buy an outfit online.

Which should we give up to protect our anonymity - gmail or dcurbanmom? Both you and your google contact are very short-sighted.

ITA. I hate it. I think you also might need a better understanding of your business model. Google may technically provide the site's revenue, but they do that in exchange for eyeballs/users. So, um, we're providing you with a little revenue too.

+1 to this.

But as to the +1 button itself, count me firmly in the NO WAY camp. I use my gmail professionally, and my user name is firstname.lastname. I am always logged in. As entertaining as bouquet snatching, dirty dice and She Who Must Not Be Named have been, they are not worth making an utter, public ass of myself by accidentally clicking the time bomb lurking at the bottom of DCUM's salacious topic of the week. Because let's face it -- Murphy's Law says that I'm going to click +1 on the latest discussion of bedroom techniques, not the mundane roll call of kids' Halloween costumes. I'm gone until/unless the button goes away.

Btw, remind your Google overlords that the general readership here is not of an age that wants/needs to share its every thought, opinion or adventure with the wider world. This may appeal to those young whippersnappers, but it's not really part of our psychographic makeup.

I love this poster.

Thank you, Jeff, for removing the +1 and the Facebook buttons.
