Stranger Knocked on Door Begging for Money

I'm not particularly religious, but especially at Easter, I do think of what that man who made friends with lepers and prostitutes would say about all this.

Well then you must be better (not sure if you have more brains) then most people on here. Because I am sure there is no way on earth most people would rather let someone in who is an armed robber or to scope out your house and come back later, to give a hand out to someone. And yes, times have changed.

Seriously, THIS. Call the police because they will step up police presence in your neighborhood if you call them. 21:31 here. This is basically what I was thinking when I posted, but you articulated it so well. We've become so distrustful and fearful that it's heartbreaking. Ever heard of the Good Samaritan? I'm not a Jesus freak either, but I think He would want us to do better.

Well. This isn't "The Grapes of Wrath" no matter what our grandmothers told us. There is a murderous, apocalyptic element in society today that didn't exist in such large numbers in granny's day. Also depression era folks were mostly rural simple folks who you be relatively certain only wanted to work for food. Henry Fonda and the Joads didn't have the internet...Today's predators are MUCH more sophisticated.

I looked the product up online and found you could get it at target so I called the non emergency number and put a message out on my neighborhood list serve. All the police did was talk to them (turns out their was two of them) and took their names, so if they were casing the neighborhood I doubt they would come back.

Lol. You should have been filming them with your phone through door windows (if you have any). I would. At least you might have left some evidence for the police as they sort through your remains.
