Tips for first time Circus goers

Make your own informed choice about the circus. But I don't think it's hypocritical or unreasonable for people to avoid it because of animal issues, while still eating meat and otherwise ignoring other animals rights issues. Should we never try to do better just because we can't be perfect? If you feel not going to the circus is one thing you can do to support humane treatment of animals, then go for it. We should encourage each other to do what we can to be better people, in whatever capacity we can.

My 3.5 year old went last night and loved it. The funny thing is he was more into the 7 guys on motorcycles, the clowns and the people doing flips in the air than the animals. My parents took him so he was reporting back to me. He didn't even mention the elephants. Overall, he had a great time.
