They are mailed.

Maybe that varies from school to school? Someone else on this thread posted yesterday that they received the scores in their Thursday folder.

My Sincere advice to all parents, who think that their kids are gifted and capable -

If your kid is not in the pool, Submit a strong package with parent referral and additional attachments

If your kid is already in the pool - Still submit strong package. GBRS rating has more weightage and it's not in our hands.

Besides the AAP program- what do they do with these scores.

My Son has and E profile with strengths in Non-verbal. I can't find anything about what this means except that it should be "looked at closer" - what the heck does that mean !! We have been worried about learning delays - is this a possible indicator. Do the schools even look at these scores if your child is not in the gifted range? Should I contact the school and ask or is this something they will contact me over.

Look at " A Short Guide for Teachers" which offers additional information on how to work with CogAT results:

I'd be skeptical of one person saying they got it their weekly folder. If you notice everyone else says they got it in the mail.

My 3rd grader got a 136 composite on his cogat. Will he meet the cutoff? Is the cutoof different for a 3rd grader?
I realize I have to actively refer him.

The cutoff is merely is to get 2nd graders into the pool, so it does not apply in your situation as you have a 3rd grader.

Mom from Gunston Elementary received letter last weekend about whether or not she wanted her DC to be screened. Deadline for declining the screening pool process is Monday, 18th. No test scores received to date.

We got the letter that DC is in the pool. Will the school show the parents the GBRS before the Feb 4th deadline?

What types of examples in parent questionnaire and work samples and certificates should we provide? TIA for any insight.

Can anyone tell me the cut off for NNAT and Cogat for this year ?

I don't think it has been announced yet. Last year it was 130, and I believe it was 132 the year before that.

It's 130, according to our AAP Teacher at her presentation to parents 2 days ago.
