How did you decide: ED, or gamble?

You are not permitted to REA to multiple schools. Read the fine print carefully. Pick one and see; REA doesn’t require acceptance but they do limit your ability to EA to any other private school (so you can REA to one Ivy only,). My kid did early action and wound up with some great options; also don’t ED anywhere you don’t 100% plan to attend. ED requires enrollment.
I write recs and check everyone’s common app and if someone tries to REA or ED to multiple schools I can see it & I will call the college and pull my recommendation.

If she had a preference for one of those ED schools, it would be easy, but she doesn't, and some of these schools lock you into a path.

You only ED if your child really want to attend a particular school (has visited and still thinks this) and you can afford for them to attend
