You do not have to show ID when voting

In VA, you need to present an ID for in person voting.

Nope. If you appear without ID, you can sign a confirmatory statement and still vote (not cast a provisional ballot, but vote normally).

Which is why this fake post was created….just so you could share that. Maybe seed doubt.

I oppose voter ID laws. And my very real situation today where my spouse forgot their ID and showed up 15 minutes before the polls closed is a perfect example of why I oppose voter ID laws.

So let’s enable voter fraud because you married a ditz?

Grow up. If voting is such a low priority that your husband can’t check his wallet (not to mention driving), he can’t check sit one out.

Virginia had a very important election yesterday. Maryland did not. Marylanders should not be having a say in Virginia politics. And it's illegal.

Try and keep up.

How are ANY of you taking this obvious troll post seriously? C'mon people.

My wife doesn't have to sit this vote out for grabbing the wrong wallet. So that's a relief!

I'm not enabling voter fraud. My wife is following Virginia law and listening to the election workers present.

You are less than 10% of the US population.

What population is that? People who show up to the polls with the wrong wallet?

I'm a lefty who is all for more identification at the polls. I just don't trust this administration to implement any of it. Data shows us that there is exceedingly little fraud going on. But for future elections, I do think it's best practice to require identification when you vote, and perhaps have a voter card system, or establish a national ID system that's used for all transactions. A driver's license is state dependent, not all people drive, and it's not a document that is unique to US citizens. All countries in the developed world have stricter voting laws than the USA.

We really should be thinking about this. Just after Trump leaves.

OP here. She doesn't have a license plate on her car. I suspect she's evading traffic enforcement.

shes driving around with NO plates on her car?

report her to the school district and the voter registration office.

She is bragging and you fell for it.
My guess is that she is lying and she knows what kind of a person OP is and that is she said that to see what would happen next

It's a needless hassle, and I'm sure she wouldn't have gone back to show ID because the results would've been in. I'm glad her vote counted with a sworn statement accurately affirming that she is who she says she is under penalty of perjury.

OP, you should be ashamed of yourself for this BS.

Fairfax isn't going to pull you over for no tag. That's so 90s.

But Maryland does. That's so 2026.
