Ah, yeah, no.

You don’t think a man who is good with his hands is hot? Any man can buy an expensive car. Money isn’t hot.

Well, he would have had to use his brain to make the money, are you saying being smart is not hot?

Smart and good with hands is hot. Smart and foolish with money and preening but few useful skills is not hot.

12 pages and growing. Knock yourself out.

What's the quintessential "hot mom" car right now?

The Lexus GX 550 is basically the blueprint right now… boxy, capable, quietly rich.

Same lane, depending on your flavor:
* Land Rover Defender - a little hotter, a little riskier
* Toyota Land Cruiser - insider, understated flex
* Ineos Grenadier - niche, very “I disappear to Wyoming”
* BMW X7 - polished, country club version
* Mercedes-Benz G-Class - loud, but somehow still works

GX is still the sweet spot: looks like you could go off-grid, but also have your finances extremely together.

This is just silly. How did you come up with this nonsense? The only person you can impress with a car is a car dude or a kid. No one else cares what you drive.

Danny and Kenickie disagree.

Most people driving these cars are in a position where their time is worth more than the money they save by doing the work themselves.

Just because you don't care doesn't mean there aren't plenty of people who do care. It always boggles my mind that anyone could possibly think that THEIR opinion is universal.

Land Rover = Mom car.

The Defender? I see both men and women. If you're talking about the LR Discovery, or even the Range Rover, then I'd agree.

Agree on old, vintage, mint condition that he works on himself.

Scheduling an oil change and being a rich ass isn't hot.

Close. It's actually a Hilux.

It depends on what kind of hot you’re going for.

Covered in oil grease is much less hot. No thanks.

I was in a Whole Foods parking lot today. Every car looks exactly the same, from a Hyundai Sante Fe to a Porsche Cayenne. All cars are blah today.

And if you are in DC and want to go with the men driving oversized pickup trucks and ferraris, well, good luck with d-bag central.

The hot man drives a sensible car that is comfortable, safe, can carry the kids, the dog, and the groceries. The CAR GUYS may not be the best partners in real life. Probably not even for a fling. It's not 1978.
