Tufts v Wesleyan - social scene?

Neither. Boring. But that wasn't a factor for your kid before applying so no pick the less boring of the two. Maybe Tufts only because it is by a city.

We'd pick Tufts but we can see the appeal of Wes for those that want a smaller college LAC. Congrats OP!
