You're wearing a midi sleeveless dress with a "duster" and black knee socks? What shoes? Do you have a picture of this look? |
|
My travel uniform comes from a dress maker. She has access to interesting black fabrics. No photos available. Also I'm short and old, so you'll want to adapt the look.
Eileen Fisher does a similar uniform: long, sleeveless knit dress with a variety of coats, jackets, sweaters to coordinate as overpieces. They even have coordinating shoes. Other lines do this as well. It's available at various price points. If I have an outfit that works for me, that I love, I'm happy to wear it everyday, dark color doesn't show spills, etc so much. Natural fabrics usually spot clean pretty easy. I don't like tights, and they are more to wash when traveling. HUE black knee highs look like tights since my dresses are long. Hope that helps. |
| I don't mind the same clothes but it's the smell that they've been worn. I will not wear anything twice. Not happening. I wash a lot out in the sink. It has to be washed after one wearing. Maybe I can get-away with as little as 3 pairs of pants/tops. The material has to be right though, quick dry. |
| A few points-Febreeze is gross. Don't do that OP. The tip about the silk PJ shorts is great. |
| My entire family cam pack for 2 weeks in a carryon and personal item - it's not hard. Plan around one color- black, navy or a shade of khaki/brown that works for you. Layer - cardigans over, t-shirts under, add scarves. 2 pair of shoes only, one for walking, one to dress things up a little bit (not high heels unless a block/chunky heal). PJs? T shirt and bike shorts. And you need to get over the not wearing things twice |
| Why not just check a bag? |

| I always travel carry on only. If I need something (rare) I never have trouble purchasing during travel. Purchases can be easily shipped back as well. It's worth it to waltz off the plane and go straight to a car. |
