I love Atlasvet on H st. No upselling and they often have same day appts available.

Dr. Malehorn is the best! We wished she stayed at McLean Animal hospital. Good for her for opening her own place in Potomac MD

Since he's mobile, it limits the type of services he can give, which is great! He's not the upselling sort of person and will tell you honestly whether he thinks an issue is worth pursuing at a vet hospital or specialist. For specialists, he has referred us to CARES in Frederick, who are also good, but now owned by a chain. Dr. Perl is great:

He is our vet too and we love him. It looks like he now has a second doctor in his practice although we have had no experience with her.

Not. Friendship. If you had a great experience there, good for you. My answer is still no. Thanks.

I'm currently paying corporate-owned prices, and would love to pay less for better quality. If you love your vet practice, please let me know.

Why do I need to "love" a vet, or any other provider? I just need a competent professional. I'm not going to wine them, dine them and sleep with them.

This. I never understand these people demanding you tell them about the provider you LOVE or are GREAT or whatever. Just give me someone who can do the job adequately.
