I am so frustrated by every boomer (in spirit, not necessarily in age) complaining they ‘tried AI/chatgpt’ once or twice

Most recently, he told us he was disappointed that ChatGPT told him Mary Supreme would be a good movie and he hated it. Did he watch the trailer before going? Nope. Just trusted chatgpt.

Rotten Tomatoes also rated it very highly, 94-96%.

That's why I don't get why people need AI for this. You could just google "what is a good movie" and get a list of ratings from Rotten Tomatoes and pick one. Which is also stupid, but takes less resources.

But pp was making the point that his boss should have reviewed a trailer instead of relying on chatgpt, which draws from sources like Rotten Tomatoes.

I am late 40s. I haven't used it and won't. I am a professional writer. It is learning off people like me.

Watching the trailer would tell you if YOU would enjoy the subject/style of the film. RT may say something is great, but it still might be in keeping with my tastes.

This is usually true but sometimes, particularly in comedies, they put the best bits in the trailer.

I work in healthcare and cannot risk citing incorrect information. For now, it is not useful for me. I still need to refer to the real, original, source, for what I do, like CDC or high level research.

Ai taught me how to put on makeup correctly and which eyebrow and hair styles are right for me

No thanks, I’ve watched “Star Trek” and “The Twilight Zone” and that one movie with Will Smith.

boomers really need to get their diapers changed, they are so mad and irritable over a term that is meant to be playful and light-hearted. We will make sure they put I Love Lucy on in the nursing home, will that cheer you up?

This includes friends who are my age, my younger co workers, vendors who work for me. It is so frustrating.

It would be like trying to send an email when it was brand new and typing ‘WRITE TO MOM’ into the TO field and then being angry it didn’t work like you wanted.

I am Gen X and I agree with those boomers.

Why do you care that they don't think highly of it and don't want to use it?

Are they your colleagues or just random relatives etc? Let people live their own lives.
