I’m amazed/disappointed the NYT article didn’t mention this:
https://www.nih.gov/news-events/news-releases/smoking-cannabis-associated-increased-risk-heart-attack-stroke#:~:text=Frequent%20cannabis%20smoking%20may%20significantly,5%25%20increased%20likelihood%20of%20stroke. 42% increased stroke risk for daily users. My gf lost her husband this way. |
This. The pendulum will swing against cannabis at some point but not until many people have experienced poor health outcomes as a result. |
Please put a reminder on your calendar to make another thread about this next week. WE HAVE TO LET THE PEOPLE KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!
|
If alcoholics are your point of comparison then this cannot be a very healthy hobby. |
Why is this funny? |
And my neighbor’s son had marijuana induced psychosis and was dancing in their front yard like a lunatic until the police took him away. So I guess our anecdotes cancel one another out!! |
I guess so, but so far all we have in this treat is hysteria and anecdotes. "My brother is a cop in Michigan. It's SOOOO bad out there." Puhhhlleeaseeeee |
Why is it funny that someone keeps starting a new thread on this topic every few days? Oh, it's not funny. It's annoying and completely useless. |
How’s the $$$ in the marijuana lobbying business, PP? |
Seek mental help immediately. |
I know we’ve been sold an idea that pot use is the way to go with little to no negatives. That’s not true. You can deny people’s experiences who are closer to the issue all you want but that doesn’t mean the problems don’t exist. |
JFC who are you people? |
Please tell me where I denied it. But you also can't deny that millions of people have used pot safely for decades and will continue to do so despite the baseless hysteria. |
| Unlike many in this thread I actually read the editorial. I thought it was well reasoned and right on target. They advocate for a middle ground where weed is available but much better regulated (and taxed). |
It is fairly well regulated and taxed in MD. |
