You sound certifiable. Like a complete loon with lots of invalid and irrational feelings. |
MAGAs DGAF about facts or reason. |
The problem is the number of people making lots of money. Just look at the bloat at the top since Reid arrived. Please tell me what Lisa Youngblood-Hall has done to make things better. Look at the School Board hiring additional assistants at salaries higher than teachers. And, many of them are Democrat Part activists. Just a few years ago, School Board members shared assistants. Now each is entitled to two of them--one of those at a high salary. |

And, please don't forget:
Those highly paid staff members have organizations with lots of people working for them. Please tell me what they do. Be specific. Certainly, those who do payroll and budgets do need staff. But, there are far too many who just "make work" for teachers rather than support them. |
DP. And there ya go. Yeah they see things differently than you do and therefore they are a “loon”. Worst thing about DCUM. |
Most other salaried professionals aren’t working a full 52 weeks anyhow. The average professional in the private sector receives approximately 15 days of paid vacation per year after their first year of employment, according to Bureau of Labor Statistics data. This amount usually increases with tenure, often reaching 15–20 days after 5–10 years of service. |
Entry level teachers means a recent bachelors, no job experience, and a 10M contract. $61,747 is pretty good. If you told me the qualifications of the administrators I’d be in a place to say if I thought it was fair. Parents are routinely asked to purchase the teachers requested classroom supplies so don’t worry, if that’s what bothers you, you can just get their Amazon list. |
It’s not that complicated. I am correct and they are not. It isn’t like their perspective is valid. |
DP TBH, I’ve never purchased my own classroom supplies and families have always sent in basic supplies for their own child. It was that way when I was school in the 70s and 80s. We do ask for students to send in tissues, so that would be a classroom supply. |
Good for you. You’ve never bought expo markers for the board? Paper clips? Pens? Scissors? Schools have some of these at the start of the year, but are long gone by January. I find it hard to believe that you’re a teacher and never bought our own bulletin board borders. |
Seems like Gatehouse has some hurt feelings |
Gatehouse stopped by again....we know the truth hurts GH. The only thing invalid is all those useless comfy do nothing positions in Gatehouse. |
Take your fairy tale somewhere else. I’ve been in FCPS for over 20 years in both Title 1 and wealthy schools. I’ve never bought paperclips or expo markers. Every supply closet is stocked in January. As for buying bulletin board borders, that’s a choice. If you want to buy some, great. I always had the kids make with construction paper or cardstock from the well-stocked supply room. |
Oh, but they do do something: they make extras paperwork for school staff. And, sometimes they conduct training when they know less than the people being trained. |
