Sure, there are kids soaking up the toxic culture (both online and real) and other kids standing up for their peers.

There were plenty of Hitler Youth back in the day as well.

Sure. Are you aware that it was forced on the kids? They were required to join. Big difference--or is FCPS encouraging/rewarding protests? That's kind of a problem.

No, not at all. Don’t make things up and post them. Here’s what we received from our principal since there was talk of a walk out today:

Per Regulation 2612, students are not permitted to stage a walk-out demonstration during the school day as this can disrupt instruction time and lead to safety and security concerns. Students who walk out to demonstrate during the school day will be marked as unexcused and could face disciplinary action in alignment with Regulation 2601 and the FCPS SR&R.

Activities such as a walkout, are to occur before or after school to avoid instructional disruption. Student organizers must submit a written request at least five days in advance. The principal will meet with the organizers within three school days and issue a written decision within two school days. Administrators may also assign an alternative location to ensure safety.

Any student demonstration at school that does not follow these procedures will not be approved and cannot happen

That sounds better. There was one protest last year at my daughter's school that caused an issue for parents dropping their kids off late after appointments. The students were off the sidewalk walking as cars came (including mine) not expecting to have students in the street. There weren't many of them so they could have fit on the sidewalk easily, but they insisted on the street and weren't listening to the faculty who were out trying to guide them to safety. They had a megaphone so anyone trying to do some last-minute studying during the study hall was out of luck.

The students saw a chance to leave school and they took it, most of them had no idea what they are protesting.

BS these kids know a lot more than you. They are also a kinder more compassionate generation. You sound really ignorant.
