Australia for the first and probably only time

Honestly everything we ate in Melbourne was phenomenal. Even the deli out in the boonies hit.

I think Australia mostly has amazing food. I think you’d have to try really hard to only find bad food everywhere.

My kids have travelled a lot, and Australia is hands-down their favorite place.
I would happily move to Queensland if we could.
Port Douglas, like some have mentioned, is a great base for the area - it's worth the drive north from Cairns.
Obviously a full day to the Great Barrier Reef is amazing, but almost as good was the day we went into Mossman Gorge. I don't remember if this was the company we used or not, but the itinerary is definitely similar and was awesome: https://backcountrybliss.com.au/tours/river-drift-snorkelling/
