Resist and unsubscribe

Any stats on how many unsubscribed and how much it cost the targeted companies?

Virtually no companies, if any, have been materially impacted by silliness like this. The Bud Light debacle notwithstanding, companies usually do what they think is best for sales, earnings, and their stock prices; they are not motivated by tiny numbers of small customers proclaiming they'll spend their pennies elsewhere.

What is your proposal? Until you have a better idea that you're out there organizing, you don't get to call anyone actually trying to do something performative.

My better idea, honestly, is to arm ourselves and get organized. This is going to require violent revolution.

There are a lot of competent military who were fired by Kegsbreath and company. Put them in charge.

I'm doing my part. I'm down at the range most days. My targets have MAGA hats on them. I have been acquiring firearms. I'm training my neighbors.

Interesting. If someone had said, “My targets have ____ hats (Democrat), you’d be screaming in outrage. Keep on displaying your utterly malignant persona.

Funny that you couldn't fill in the blank because there is no Democrat domestic terrorist uniform.

They are motivated by LARGE numbers of customer taking their money elsewhere.

Get at it!

The secret to boycotting consumerist companies is that even if it doesn't hurt the target, it helps yourself.

There is. Black clothing and a keffiyah, along with masks. The standard attire of the pro-Palestinian, antifa lout.

I am definitely giving to the resistence.

There are alternatives, like LibreOffice. Using the account your job pays for to do your job is not what anyone is talking about. If you pay for it at home for personal use, consider alternatives.

My office and cloud storage are annual subscriptions. I guess I could cancel and resume in March? But all photos and mail are in those clouds.

What about Target?

Agree. We're have saved a significant amount of money by not using Amazon anymore. And for what it's worth, I haven't been to Target since 2024 either.

Support your small local shops where possible. The Ace Hardware near us is employee owned. I don't think they all are, but some of them are.

I made a deliberate trip to the local hardware chain this weekend instead of Home Depot, and the location had been shuttered. I then went across town to their other location which was thankfully still in business. I bought extra items.

Boycotts work when they're well organized, but regardless this economy sucks, pick where you spend your money!

Jesus, Scott. I expected a better formatted site from him.

I love what he's doing but, really, if I'm going to do any of these, I need other options. Get rid of Microsoft and Google? Ok, what do I use then?

You're high. He's an amazing businessman and entrepreneur. And INCREDIBLY smart. I don't always agree with him but grifter doesn't even come close to describing him.

Absolutely Target was. Ditto the Washington Post.
