As always with Republicans today, the cruelty is the point. Not efficiency. Not good policy. Not what works. The opportunity to be cruel is the driving energy of MAGA Republicans.

Being in the country without documentation is a CIVIL, not a criminal offense. They should not be jailed at all.

Why the need to detain these people for long periods of time, especially since the guvment keeps asserting the people ICE is collecting already have deportation orders or criminal convictions? Such people should not require long periods of detention. Some contractors are making ungodly amounts of money and government employees such as Stephen Miller are getting kickbacks

What is the worst case scenario with these warehouses? That is a lot of space to have to detain people. What do you all think they are planning? All illegal immigrants or others too? Would US soldiers really go along with this sort of thing?
