Yes. You did it right. Congrats and welcome indeed. |
Same. There is no better time or place in history to be a woman. Although th culture has backslid a bit - but I’ll never be one of those SAHMs with a dress that looks like it was made from curtains or should be on a 2 year old. |
PP’s post was about OUR rights as American women - not the aid the US generously gave to foreign women. And we are not in southern states - tha is a choice. On a federal level our rights are the best in history. Gain some perspective and stop whining. |
Then leave. Problem solved. Or change it - the American way. Complaining and whining is unamerican. We are a pull ourselves up by the bootstraps people. The whiners live in the Uk and Europe - go there and you’ll be in good company |
Complaining and trying to change things through protest is patriotic. Literally. That's how the patriots established our democracy. |
Exactly, woman here too. I have been to more than 40+ countries in the world. I agree that some of the things need to be improved in US but overall, a woman's or human's life is much better here than a lot of other countries in Africa, Asia, S America or a lot of other countries. People can openly complaint here and that itself is a privilege. Imagine doing that in Middle East. |
Kudos to this PP in realizing the opportunities American gave him/her and now they are giving it back via civil service. |
| Always proud to be an American. My dad immigrated here in 1969 and always instilled that in us. My wife is European and has been here since 2009 and she doesn’t want to go back to being a Europoor. Socialism is evil. |
