Former MCPS administrators making the news in Harford County today.

Link?

Not sure but doing a quick search think that the pp might be referring to this:

https://www.cbsnews.com/baltimore/news/harford-county-superintendent-conference-bulson-stolen-schools-property/

https://www.hcps.org/superintendent/

This from Bulson's bio:

In August 2023, Dr. Bulson was appointed by Maryland Governor Wes Moore to serve on the Professional Standards & Teacher Education Board (PSTEB).

On November 2, 2023, Dr. Bulson was named the Maryland Superintendent of the year. This prestigious honor was announced by the Public Schools Superintendent's Association of Maryland (PSSAM) during a ceremony held at the 2023 Maryland Negotiation Service Conference.

Beginning July 1, 2024, Dr. Bulson will serve a three-year term as an elected member of the AASA Executive Committee. He has been a member of the AASA Governing Board since 2022.

Superintendent Bulson has been selected for recognition on the national stage at an upcoming AASA (The School Superintendents Association) National Conference on Education in March 2025. Dr. Bulson has been named one of the top 3 superintendents in the country to receive the prestigious Family Engagement Changemaker award for his innovative work in family engagement.

The Washington Post is complete crap now. It's hard to take anything they publish seriously.

That said, MCPS is still saddled with all the principals hired because of their skin color and not because of their skills or qualifications. Teachers are still forced to deal with them and stay silent. Everyone is tiptoeing around that issue.

PP again. No one respects them because we all know why they're there. How could anyone think that would be a good idea?

The HBCU sorority system in MCPS has long influenced the choice of principals, former associate superintendent LaVerne Kimball was most egregious, but the unfair preference for “sorors” still exists.

Same with meteorologists and local newcasters.

The color of one’s skin should have no bearing on hiring administrators, but it has been an entrenched factor in MCPS for a long time, and everyone knows it. Merit is only a distant second factor.

Many of the most craptastic people I've encountered in MCPS leadership circles are white. Case in point: Disgraced former BCC principal Dr. Mooney.

So you'll have to find another dog to hunt.

You don’t get a $1million+ settlement when you’re fired. Still so ridiculous.

Who do you mean?

This is very true. Identity politics reign supreme in MCPS
