Did your grandparents sleep in the same bed? In the same room?

Nope.

Paternal grandparents slept in different rooms, apparently because my grandfather snored loudly. Born around 1915.

Maternal grandparents slept in the same room in separate twin beds. Also born around 1915.

I shared a bed with my XH for most of the time we were together but the last 6 or 7 years, once things were deteriorating, we were in separate bedrooms.

Things "were deteriorating" for "6 or 7 years"?

Licensed marriage counselors define a sexless marriage as 11 instances of coitus or fewer, per year.

I don't think "licensed marriage counselors" know what "sexless" means, then.

No because grandma tried to kill him.

My paternal grandparents did, although that grandfather was killed in a car accident at 79. My maternal grandparents had their bedroom off the living room of their farmhouse, but they sold the farm in their 80s and had twin beds when they moved into a house in town. I don't know what the particular impetus was.

You think marriages only deteriorate quickly, like over night?

Yes —at least on one side, but he died in his 40s before 1960.

On the other side, they had three kids in six years and then divorced.

No, my one set of living grandparents did not sleep in the same room nor bed. They were both born one in the 1890s and the other in early 1900s. I never thought twice about it either. The comments on the video confirmed many households had this setup.

Did yours?

That takes some money to be able to have two solo bedrooms.

My grandparents' generation was never in that situation.
