Smoked salmon? Hummus?

!!!

I just developed a macadamia nut allergy at 50. It's okay. I rarely have them.

Now, a shrimp allergy would break my heart

Shrimp are terrible for you anyhow, not missing out.

They aren’t. Shrimp are a great source of low calorie protein. Buy the wild shrimp though.

They got a bad rep bc they are high in cholesterol, but cholesterol from food doesn’t give you high cholesterol. Farmed shrimp are questionable as well as their living conditions and diet are disgusting

Meatballs, stuffed mushrooms, etc all have breadcrumbs so they’re going to be out.

Cold sliced steak/beef with some sort of optional sauce like chimichurri or horseradish.

The chicken piccata meatballs in the new work times could be made small and cooked at the last minute - very tasty and would convert well to appetisers

One of my kids has always had a shrimp allergy, and just stays away, but it's more frustrating when the allergy appears later in life, when you've had time to love a certain food!

You're a nice person to look for something special for them, OP. I would love hummus and those Greek stuffed vine leaves.

Stuffed grape leaves are not low carb. They’re typically rice heavy.

Hard boiled eggs sliced in half with everything but the bagel seasoning and a little piece of smoked salmon

Asian cucumber salad

A previous poster said cevice which is a good idea

Fun gourmet pickles

Truffle macadamia nuts

Hard boiled eggs. They actually sell the ready made in the egg section. To be fancy you could make them deviled

I make something called muhammara, which is a roasted red pepper and walnut dip (I scoop it up with hummus and pitas). It’s very tasty.

Smoked salmon bites with crème friache or crème cheese with capers & onions on a crostini or for low carb on cucumber slices
