Interesting article out of TopOfTheCircle from New Jersey. Only 7 girls out of the WAC/ISL/Public made the list. Compiles by someone without any ties to local clubs/teams. Maybe the dc area just is not as good as you all think.
Jan. 28, 2020 — The All-Decade Team January 28, 2020 at 2:42 am · Filed under Uncategorized and tagged: Lacrosse Presentation1 OK, gang. Let’s just leave this up front: there’s going to be a 400-goal scorer or a 600-point scorer that’s going to be left off this team. That’s because there have been so many great players who have dominated this decade, it’s impossible to find room for them all, and this included players whose teams didn’t load up on one key attack, but were difficult to stop because they were in great team settings. Here’s our attempt at a Team of the Decade for this, the Score-O Decade: FIRST TEAM Sam Apuzzo, West Babylon (N.Y.) Bridget Bianco, Moorestown (N.J.) Taylor Cummings, Owings Mills McDonogh (Md.) Its remarkably low considering the numbers of girls that play lax in college from the DC area. |
Too bad you need a VHS machine to watch their games lol. The past has passed you by ... |
Interesting list. This a list of high school accomplishments, right? Many of the above we great high school players but might not have done as much in college. |
| that is a great point, even girls who excel in high school sometimes can't make the transition to college game. |
| The new pre-season rankings are out. Thoughts? What’s going on with FSU’s roster size? |
35 listed currently on the roster. I know they brought in some transfers this winter. Probably have some DSAs. Heard next year they could potentially be upper 40s. I'm sure some tough conversations will occur at the end of the season. |
FSU has opted in which means they will have a max roster limit of 38 player…. |
| FSU will have to cut players! How does the DSA work again? |
