Why so defensive? This post wasn’t an attack on YOU.

It is not defensive. OP tried to described her weekend as perfect when indeed it is boring as hell. I am reading all these mom's weekends and they are so much more fun!

Where did OP describe her weekend as perfect? See, this is the defensiveness I’m talking about! You’re reading judgment into her post that isn’t there.

And frankly? All these weekends sound completely quotidian.

I said low key! Full on tiger would have way more instrument practice, kid would be at minimum level 8 swim, and he’d be studying at night not attending a social event with his dad. And I don’t think Tiger mom would be getting up at 5 to exercise, more like pack an elaborate lunch, cut a bunch of fresh fruit, and prep a no sugar smoothie.

Why do so many married women feel compelled to share their perfect weekend in this thread?I'm widowed and therefore single. I made some yoga at home, baked cookies, went for ar run in the afternoon with DD and her boyfriend and invited my mother for dinner.

Not getting up till 12:30 - that's concerning
relationship status unimportant

So far, I’ve had a steak at Minetta’s, strolled the Bryant Park Winter Village, and had a nap in my hotel. I’m preparing to go shop now.

What’s the point of this?

I would never travel to NYC without my husband. It's not safe.

lol. As if your husband could protect you from whatever you’re afraid of.

PS—NYC is incredibly safe.

If your husband is a State Trooper, carries a concealed weapon and is an expert marksman, he can protect you! I sure do love my State Trooper husband.

This thread started off so nice. We should have more like it in the future. It would be great if Jeff started a single women sub section! It’s lame that some of you felt a need to crash the party.

For the same reason as single women, including you, shared their weekend?

Why not start DCUrbansinglewoman forum for that purpose? Why post on DCUM?

Single girl life, kid at dad's: I woke up and lazed around for a few hours, walked to a sports bar to watch football with friends, then went to a concert and had dinner with some other friends. It was a good Sunday.

There’s plenty of pie here, greedy Karen.

Married woman, mom of teens, Sunday edition. Woke at 9:00. Had sex, showered. Made leisurely brunch, ate when the teen got up around 11. Went out to get a Christmas tree, spent the afternoon putting it up. Early dinner, then decorated Christmas cookies all evening while admiring our tree and listening to holiday music. Lovely day.
