Yeah, don’t move. My parents home in the Bay Area was beautiful and big for the area (4k). It was lovely to visit with our kids when they were little. Beautiful memories. It wouldn’t have made sense for them to them to downsize. My mom actually lived there til the end and we had room for a nurse. Dad moved overseas where we had another home after she passed to better afford live in care.
