And every year, families ask, "but what about...?"

Just write the darn card.

I mean there are also of plenty of teachers who say they like gift cards. (But not Starbucks?)

I love getting a Starbucks gift card! -says someone working in high school

How do you know how and where your co worker made the cookies?

Are you stupid? What he’s saying is that his coworkers are not likely to try to poison him. Accepting food from the public would have a high risk that the chocolate chips are antifreeze or the batter is full of miralax.

I have never seen a teacher do this.

You should try attending Back to School Night

I work in a school and I’d love homemade cookies. Also gift cards. Also thank you notes.

I just ove this question. It's nice that people still think about making cookies for teachers and even more, care if they would eat them. Refreshing to remember there are thoughtful people.

Think about how many holidays foods items you give out each year. Do you want to eat that much junk food?

Please do not send me cookies, for health reasons, medicinal reasons as well. Send a nice note to my administrator expressing gratitude and cc me. Or send a gift card with a nice note.

I don't want or need gifts from my students but I do very much appreciate thank you notes from students and parents.

When I get gift cards or snacks I just give them to other coworkers.

No. People have really gross habits/houses. Giftcard only plz.

Well then having kids bake for teachers is a complete waste of resources. If parent community have a staff appreciation committee, maybe they should buy cookies or "cater" cookies instead. They cater lunches and meals other times during school year.
