There are 1-2 scenes you might need to fast forward through on this one if the teens are watching with grandma.

Love Actually
Napoleon Dynamite
Gods Must be Crazy
My Life as a Dog (a brief nude scene in art studio)
Moonstruck
Impromptu
Mamma Mia

Don't forget the porn storyline in Love Actually! That surprised me.

I rewatched it last year after not having seen it since it was in theaters.

I totally forgot about that scene.

Unfortunately, my teens walked in the front door just as the scene started, and I unfortunately had just gotten up to greet them not realizing that the scene was next. How embarrassing for everyone.

They totally did not buy my explaination of "But, it's a holiday movie, really"

Frankenstein (newest one by Guillermo del Toro)
Christmas in CT
Beetlejuice
Moana
Moonrise Kingdom
Royal Tenenbaums
The Sound of Music
My Big Fat Greek Wedding
Sense and Sensibility

Truman Show

My teens haven't seen it but I think they'd get a kick out of it. Parents may or may not have seen. They would probably fall asleep a bit in parts of any movie anyway.

Top Gun 2 - Tom Cruise annoys me, but I can overlook because the movie was such a fun watch.

Die Hard, The Princess Bride, and Home Alone would be other solid choices.

Oh, and the Bourne Identity and 2 follow-up movies!

F1
Top gun 2
Ferris b day off
The Netflix movie with cam Diaz and Jamie foxx
Interstellar - god my teens will always watch that and they aren't particularly nerdy
The Martian
1&2 of both daddy's home
Meet the parents
Ant man 1&2

You gotta stick with the really mainstream comedy and action movies

Hate Love Actually. So many men fall for their assistants - bad subtle lesson if teen girls watching.
Christmas Vacation - agree about scenes making seniors/teens uncomfortable (doesn’t anyone remember Chevy Chase talking to Christie Brinkley?)

So odd. Unless grandma is Amish, she likely saw this movie at the theater in her heyday. Chevy Chase is 82.

Everything Everywhere All at Once (if elders like quirky stuff)

Historical documentaries

E.T.

Star Wars: A New Hope (OG Star Wars)

Into The Woods (movie musical)

I cannot imagine 80 year olds being into this.

My mom is in her 80s and quite quirky and . . . she hated it.

I was surprised by her reaction-- I loved it!

Hated both of them.

Love Actually has lots of yucky messaging.

Christmas Vacation isn't that funny.

My Silent Generation mom inflicted Elf, Christmas Vacation, and A Christmas Story on us one year. Three strikes. Out.

Original or live action Grinch maybe? I love the "Where Are You Christmas" song from live action Grinch.
