DP and I agree- Posh, eBay, and TRR are all good for secondhand items. ThredUp is extremely hit and miss, and I only buy there if I know exactly what I am looking for and can’t find it there. |
| NP- I am interested! |
I haven't had luck on Poshmark, but I use eBay to buy specific items that are no longer made. I set up search alerts for a particular sweater or pant that I have, and know fits, but can't buy more of. Thredup is iffy, but worth it to me because I sell there so I'm mostly shopping with store credit. I filter the search to only see NWT or "excellent" quality, and buy brands I'm familiar with. I've gotten some great things, but probably also wasted a lot of credit on stuff that didn't work. |
| For skirts, pants and jeans, I find it very hard to thrift. I generally thrift tops where I know the brand and my size. I don't thrift in person but scour Ebay and Thredup for my favorite brands. Gotten high end items for pennies on the dollar. |
Np. I’m also petite and nothing is ever size small. I feel like size large is way more popular. |
PLEASS NO. Ugh. |
With Poshmark you can't return. It's best to stick to brands you know your size in. With the RealReal some items (full price or close to full price) are returnable. For discounted items that aren't usually returnable you can buy a "return guarantee" to give you that option. I think for a $100 item I paid $12 for a return guarantee. |

Are you trying to become an “influencer”?
Either way, no. |
This was my take. Wants to be an influencer. |
“Americans options are limited mostly to crap so that’s what you’ll find in the thrift stores today.” FIFY |
