First -time child abuse victims: 43,827. Highest number of child abuse fatalities: 187 The deadliest mass shootings involving children to date were in Texas: Uvalde (2022): Robb Elementary School killed 19 students and two teachers, and injured over a dozen others. Santa Fe (2018): Santa Fe High School killed 10 people, most of whom were students. Abbot on Uvalde, “It could have been worse.” Shortly after the slaughter, he approved the annual NRA meeting to proceed. When Uvalde parents begged him to do something, he did this: 1.
