Would you have your kids make their bed if their bus was 6:50?

Nope. My kids don't make their beds in the morning. They do help me make the beds in the weekends, but they do not come back from school to a messy room or house.

My daily routine includes spending 10 minutes (yes, I time myself) in each of the 4 bedrooms - airing, opening the blinds, dusting, removing trash from the waste paper basket, taking dirty laundry, removing any dishes, organizing books, clothes, making beds, quick vacuum.

Ok June. Don’t forget your pearls.

Yes, I imagine it takes a minute or two for the kids. I can make mine in less than a minute. It doesn't have to be perfect.

Dh and I make our bed, but we don’t make our kids do it. It’s not the battle we choose. Plenty of bigger fish to fry.

Who is coming to see the kids beds in the middle of the day?? No they should not be forced to make their beds when they already have to leave so early. If you like having your bed made, go for it. But I never understood the purpose and never make my bed.

The only requirements for morning are getting prepared for school. And most of that is done night before.

Who is sleeping in their bed while they are at school, hmm?

Wut

NP. You shouldn't make your bed right away- it's better to pull down the covers and let it air out for an hour.

People who obsess over appearances are often stinky.

No because their rooms are upstairs and I don't have to look at them.

Making beds is last of the priorities in the AM rush.

+2. Neither did my parents. We are all productive members of society.

Lazy ass

This. We all make our beds as soon as we get out of them in the morning. Takes 2 minutes if that.
