Saved her child’s life and no thank you.

She’s embarrassed and ashamed. That’s not an excuse for how she’s behaving but that’s what’s going on.

I hope you feel better. Two broken legs is a lot.

She should have a concussion as well unless she gently collapsed onto her broken legs.

If this really happened which I seriously doubt. Friend is probably blaming OP for hurting her kid. Probably consulting with a lawyer.

I think she fears being sued. This country is crazy.

OP, I once found a small lapdog in the middle of a road with a lot of speeders. I scooped the dog up and went to a lot of trouble. to locate the owner. I told some workers about a mile down the road that my contact information was available at Animal Control in the event the owner stopped to ask if they'd seen it (this was before it was common to drop dogs off at Animal Control).

The next day the owners contacted me. Very wealthy people, and it turns out the workers were employees of the wealthy couple, although they did not acknowledge familiarity with the dog.

The owners were convinced I had kidnapped the dog. They asked a lot of leading questions. They did not thank me, took the dog back without a smile and left. I was appalled at their rudeness, but would do it again for the sake of the dog.

The other side of that coin: Flash forward 20 years. A kitty would quietly sneak onto our porch late every night one winter, and sleep on the porch furniture. If it saw us watching him, he would jump down and run off. Eventually I set up a little shelter for the kitty, with food and water. By Springtime, the kitty came during the day and let me approach. i took the kitty to the Animal Shelter for a chip scan. The owners were located, and Animal Control called them. The owner came to pick up the kitty. She was very thankful, and brought a lovely flower arrangement and a beautiful thank you card. Her cat had been lost the previous year.

Some people suck. They show us who they are when the chips are down. This "friend" is showing you who she is, which is a garbage person. You broke your legs, and she has gone silent? Sheesh. Maybe contact a lawyer yourself in the event she's even thinking of suing you.

I think the repetitive troll calling might be the parent of the toddler who knows this story is about her and her parental and human failing. If true, this would be a very identifiable story.

This is fake.

NP. I am entirely new to this thread (ask Jeff) and believe this is entirely fake. The details don’t add up.

Where did he say that? Usually he locks or delete troll posts.

Anonymous wrote:Yeah, agree with you, OP. It's f-ed up that she hasn't checked on you or expressed gratitude for your quick, selfless action. I think she must be full of guilt that she didn't watch her child and keep her safe. She has probably convinced herself that you over reacted as a way to deal with her own sense of guilt. And she might somehow be concerned that you are going to ask her for money to pay for medical bills or lost compensation. But whatever the reason, her silence is profoundly shi**y.

This. Keep in mind having her child almost die and her reaction too slow or absent, is a lot for her to process.

OP please post a photo of your two broken legs.

Well she’s probably ashamed and thinks you’re furious at her for letting it happen. And you are.

My GOD yes say something. To all the people saying don't say anything or you're attention seeking they're either super irresponsible parents who also don't want to be called out for their own negligence or trolls.

TWO BROKEN legs you SAY SOMETHING!!!

Same neighborhood right? After you're all better in six weeks, make it known at the next block party.

Your friend will turn red, cry, scoop up her kid, and storm off.

All the other attendees will clap.
