Sure Karen, like we believe you. 🙄

You aren’t too smart, are you?

Kimmel was wrong that the shooter was MAGA but he was right that the shooter has a lot in common with MAGA because, like them, he wanted to silence someone he disagreed with.

Also Kimmel was 100% right that MAGA is using Kirk's death to score political points. I have heard people in MAGA compare Kirk's death to that of MLK's. It's disgusting.

Also Kimmel is a comedian and was making a joke and neither Charlie Kirk nor his family were the butt of that joke so the idea that this is a fireable (or "indefinitely suspendible") offense is absurd.

He said: “The MAGA Gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it. In between the finger-pointing, there was grieving,”

This is the world we live in now where the President can call anyone who disagrees with him scum, but comedians cannot comment on current events that don't align with the Presidents platform.

So he lied.

He didn't. At the time no one knew for certain. It's OK to be wrong. He was not insensitive nor did he say anything bad about the man who died.

That wasn’t a question. He lied. Hence why he’s fired.

He didn't lie. It's a vague statement. "One of them." The shooter isn't MAGA but he's also not a leftist -- leftists don't support political assassination. The shooter decided to use violent means to silence he disagreed with, which is something people on the right have done a number of times (J6, Charlottesville). They may not have voted the same way in the 2024 election, that doesn't mean they don't have things in common. The distance between standing outside the capitol building with a noose and saying it's for Mike Pence is a lot closer to the shooter's personal ideology than anything AOC has ever said, for instance.

My thought is that it's been proven out time and time again that no good comes from folks sharing their hot takes.

If you think you have something new to say on this topic, think again.

Kimmel was told not to do it, and he did it. He's not some free press warrior. He's the women on trampolines guy that started to take himself too seriously.

Yep. He presented his opinion as fact. As a media leader, he should know better but, honestly, these guys have been getting away with it forever so it makes sense he thought he could do so now. The problem is, although he's allowed to say what he wants, the network has to read the room as far as national sentiment is concerned. They can fire him for misrepresenting the truth.

He was fired because the authoritarian regime threatened ABC and its affiliates.

It's not about the First Amendment. No one is saying a private company can't fire Kimmel. It's about the administration using the government/FCC to threaten and bully private companies into firing people who make statements that they do not like.

Freedom of Association. Saying this is anything else is what got you here to begin with. Keep spewing your lies you clearly don’t care.

Comics tell jokes. In order to do that, they need to exaggerate and twist reality.

And no, Kimmel did not lie. He made an assumption that turned out to be only half-true. That is not a fireable offense.

Here is what he said for those mischaracterizing it:

"We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it"

No lies...

Charlie Kirk will be a name you tell your grandchildren about. Kimmel will be a distant memory.

Pure lies followed by more leftist lies. Not surprised.
