How to equalize financial gifts to adult children

Anonymous
My in laws write one check (someone posted writing out separate 19k checks which is unnecessary) for 38k to each of their children, all of the spouses and all of the grandchildren. They purchased homes for everyone, pay for private school and college for all. Their children also use credit cards that they are on the accounts of for random things. They have a financial team that oversees their entire estate so I feel very confident this is the way to go when your estate is truly sizable enough.

Well, I mean, it’s a way you CAN go. And it has tax advantages. But no one is obligated to do it this way and they might have plenty of reasons not to.
