Would you personally drive a new Cadillac Escalade or would you feel too self-conscious?

Anonymous
No. I don't need, want, or like anything big or extra. I have nowhere to go with such a big car.
My friend's Cadillac was always in the shop. It was a new car and he took it as a norm that the car needed to be in the shop.
Nothing normal about it.

No, I think they are embarrassing to drive. I don't want to be mistaken for an uber driver.

Agreed, but if you have 5 kids they wouldn't fit.

If I was staring a new job as a pimp, sure. Would fit well especially if all velvet inside.

This is what my acquaintance drove when he was running an escort service out of a prop ferry he owned in Mclean.

Our airport car service uses them and I'm glad because it holds us and our luggage easily.

Every time we considered the G wagon the thought of constant dealer visits entered my mind. Granted its not as bad as a RR, but... It's likely the Cadillac will have less maintenance issues and can carry more people and cargo. To me all US made (large) SUVs look mostly the same, I actually like the new Escalade design over the previous model. I'm happy in our LX, it can fit 7 and has a decent trunk space. Also, it's not ridiculously large, which helps in parking sometime. Lastly, it's one of the most reliable SUVs on the market... if I want to show off, I can drive my 911.

There are three cars people drive that I find to be akin to being dressed head to toe in logos- Escalades, Range Rovers and G-Wagons. These cars are obnoxious and only chosen to announce that you have money. Having money is nice, flaunting it is tacky.

G wagon

I would not be caught dead in that thing.

On second thought, it does look a little like a Hearse.
