Can someone explain why they refuse to publish the stats? Genuine question.

The elite boarding schools do publish stats. Andover, Exeter, Deerfield, Groton, Lawrenceville and all of their peer schools publish data. Range is 10-15%, depending on the school and the year. What do the day schools gain by hiding these numbers? I think families need to plan likelies and longshots, just like college.

You’ll be fine. Just like college, apply to top schools and safeties. For us, safeties were K-8s. End result was 2 out of 4 top school acceptances and 2 out of 2 safeties.

They don't "need to." Private school is a luxury.
