Yes, I used the time to learn new skills. I was not laid off and could have kept working on the contract for years, but I didn't want to waste my life.
I moved to a small company from a huge government contractor and then was laid off from the small company in the 2007 economic recession. I got a new job because the skills I had acquired were in high demand. However, there was not enough work. I was laid off at that new company because venture capitalists wanted to make the numbers look better for a desired sale. They later hired back a lot of people so they tricked the buyers of the company... |
No, not every, some for sure though. People with weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual deadlines are working! |
