We're at a school where the kids were told to have two binders for A & B days. My kid and most other kids whose parents I talked to hated the 2 binders and condensed into 1 pretty quickly. Too much to remember if everything isn't in one place.

Make sure she has a way to write down and keep track of assignments and due dates. While a lot of things are posted on Schoology she will likely find that each teacher uses it differently. Having some type of planner (even if it's a simple spiral notebook) to keep track of assignments in one place is a skill MS kids need to develop.

OP here, thanks, funny enough we actually just bought an academic planner today!
