CHML…Thoughts? My child will be attending Pk3. Hearing mixed reviews

Whoever posted the school is unsafe… THIS. There are students there that are truly feral and the amount of student violence is crazy for kids so young. They all get away with it. Hugged by the principal. Given candy and treats and rewarded with no class time. It’s a really weird school. This is no fault of the majority of the teachers- they have no help. No leadership. The principal is a TRIP.

She was the principal at Nalle, was fired, and given a chance at CHML for reasons that I won't disclose. Needless to say, the woman is not above throwing people under the bus and lying to your face. She talks a good game and that's it. The good news is that she plans to retire in the next 2-3 years...

Then it sounds like whoever becomes the new AP is all the more important if this principal is already on thin ice and is planning on retiring soon anyway. Because that person has a pretty good chance on becoming the next principal. Anyone heard anything about panels for it ?

Panels? lol. She hired this last AP without even informing the hiring committee.

Is she friends or something with her boss the instructional superintendent? Because otherwise I don’t understand how she’s been kept around this long.

No one knows who to trust. Apparently after her last stint on Admin leave, someone wrote the chancellor and the IS and they informed her. She had an entire staff meeting about it. DCPS at its finest, folks!
