He pretended to be a well educated VC interested in good government with Rockefeller Republican vibes. Turned out to be wildly socially conservative whether by nature or to curry flavor with MAGA TYPES to further his ambitions to be President. I loathe him.

Definitely an opportunist. The man doesn't have any principles to call his own. I'd respect him if he did.

I told ya’ll this 4 years ago. I posted that I had just had coffee with a former coworker of his who literally said Youngkin is a craven opportunist and wants to be a Senator. I was accused of making it up.

Also, how could you not witness his ridiculous rhetoric about CRT taking over the schools and not see what an ass he is.

You can post all this but it won't change the fact that McAuliffe was a slime ball who'd worn out his welcome in VA.

Slime ball? Youngkin worships Trump. He'd drink his bath water. I assume you're on the payroll because no one likes nor believes Glenn is competent.

DP. Gotta love that airtight echo chamber you're living in. Plenty of people like Glenn Youngkin - and he doesn't "worship" Trump. What a stupid comment.

People like Glenn Youngkin because he is following Trumps playbook - the dude cannot come up with an original idea to save his brain-dead life... "Hurrr durrrr I will CALL UP the NATIONAL GUARD TOO HURR DURRRR.." Oh and you calling it a "stupid comment" means nothing. Go back to being infatuated with your buddy, Glenn. He needs his lawn mowed, BTW, so go handle it.

Oh, yay - it's the smooth-brained "hurr durrr" poster. Been busy posting all over this forum, haven't you?

His house isn't on Old Dominion, but your illiterate word salads are duly noted.

He won't let people riot in the streets. He's a communist of the worst kind.

I really like Youngkin. Good for him for being proactive. I certainly don't want this area to turn into another LA.

Have you seen LA? It's a beautiful day. Just avoid one block.

Sure, gaslighter.

He's pretty popular related to education. CRT was taking over FCPS and I'm glad it was stopped. He stopped cell phones in schools and brought back more standards.

+100
Amazing that Youngkin was the first governor to end cell phones during the school day. Finally, someone with common sense. I've been very happy with his leadership.

Dude, no he is not - NO ONE cares about phones in school. That's all you've got? Yeah, that makes sense because the guy has NO ideas and no platform, other than drinking Trumps bath water.

Otc, MANY people care about phones in schools and are glad Youngkin stepped in to say enough.

Can’t have kids actually recording the abuse and mistreatment the staff ignores and sometimes commits themselves…..

Remember, the reason we're in this mess is that there is a right wing media and a left wing media and they are not spinning the same things. The right never sees families being torn apart, or hears about legal immigrants being deported by mistake. The left never sees the illegal border crossings in the south, migrants camping in people's back yards, or the dirt poor rural communities that progressive policies have left behind.

So political impact has yet to be seen, but yes, deploying National Guards is a provocation right now.

Actually, the left is fighting for heath care and other universal benefits for the dirt poor rural communities. Progressive policies haven’t left them behind — it’s that many of them don’t recognize some of the benefits that they’ve long enjoyed as “progressive policies”. Disability checks, Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, and days off from work (like weekends) are all progressive policies.

I don’t even live in Virginia but I’ll donate to Spanberger. She seems like a bad ass that actually cares about people and not about being trumps errand boy.

How much did this deployment cost VA tax payers?

Probably less than another study saying that Northern Virginia is an ideal place for a casino.
