How do I get to DCA tomorrow

After being stuck in afternoon traffic yesterday due to the traffic rerouting and unexpected blockages, I just pulled up maps to see how long it would take to get to DCA right now from near Penn Quarter. Normally, 20 minutes. Right now it's at 40 minutes.
Just leave really early, check your bags and have lunch at the airport. |

I'm with the poster that said mail the bulk of your luggage. I see people all the time at UPS who do this.
Travel carry on only. Plus if you have so much, it's possible you'll run into excess baggage fees. At least with mailing you know in advance. |

| Cross into Virgina at chain bridge road and use Use Glebe road. |

| Another vote for Metro. I go to DCA from Shady Grove. It's just so much easier than normal traffic. |

| I just had to pick up a relative at DCA. It look me 2 hours and 5 minutes round trip from Chevy Chase MD. Getting down there took about 65 minutes. The time kept increasing as I sat there. GPS sent me on the beltway to the GW parkway due to road closures. |

Honestly, I would rebook out of Dulles on 6/14. Not the popular approach, but it is what I would do. MWAA has been recommending MetroRail.
NB: Parts of GW Pkwy will be closed. So if driving take US-1 to the ramp over GWP to DCA |

No the only bridge closed is the Arlington Memorial bridge Some exits off of the 66 and 395 bridges will be closed on the DC side. There are clear maps linked above |
