Trump . . . I actually like him.

You seem to confuse the things Trump says with actually doing them.

Border crisis perhaps, he has not actually helped the rest.

Gas prices are up

Egg prices are related to avian influenza surges (and I said the same under Biden)

Inflation was already stabilizing before Trump as the Fed dropped the rate by 0.5 in Sept, 2024

He pretends to remove government bloat but much of what he claims to remove, he doesn't actually remove, and his "big beautiful bill" that drastically increases the US deficit (and caused our credit rating to drop, driving mortgage rates back up), is a NIGHTMARE.

My 401k, while up, is below my annual estimate of where it should be because his tariffs keep effing over the stock market.

And meanwhile, we have RFK Jr and Hesgeth. We have Signalgate. Utter embarassments.

Yes! But first i'm saving up to buy a suit.

Gonna be harder to save $$ in the Trump economy. It's been horrible thus far. Higher gas, groceries, sustained high mortgage rates, stagnant stock market, and latest jobs report today was the weakest in two years.

Remember when Biden and democrats were pushing BBB and crazy Joe manchin stopped the insanity???

Democrats has a future on a silver platter. But preferred to import millions of illegal migrants. So smart

So you are willing to trade your country and rights for temporarily slightly less expensive gas? When it’s likely not even due to anything done since 1/20?

No wonder he got elected.

Can you believe it?
They’re saying he’s high on drugs and “glitching.”
They call it glitching.

I love you.

You should trade places with Melania.

OP you are misguided and confused. In paper I get why you think Trump is doing good but in reality he is destroying everything good. Everything. From ignoring due process, to inciting a ridiculous trade war, moving forward unorganized immigration processes and ruining peoples careers in one fell swoop. The damage he's done to long term allies, our global reputation and the uncertainty he's caused industry, large and small that impacts ALL of us is completely insane.

I think some of the initiatives he's taken upon himself to address - the anger and hurt in this country has confirmed his right decision to address. However, his methods are destructive. His entire process is that of an immature baby and yes, he is a TACO. It's one thing to confront problems to fix them but it's another to make more of a mess of something than it was previously and that is what he is doing OP - in 6 months you will start seeing the results of what he's waged in the past 6 months.

There's usually a lag between when you start taking meds before experiencing the result of them and unfortunately we are going to see how his behaviors and decisions have destroyed us in so many fronts.

You should be praying along with the rest of us that he hasn't altogether destroyed this country beyond repair. We are the laughing stock of the world and after the laughter subsides there's only disgust and pity left. I myself as a citizen of this country feel the same.

I am happy he got rid of paper straws.

Totally agree, OP! Many agree, he is at his highest approval in weeks at 54 percent. People like you are liking what they are seeing in this administration.

And like inflation, that cooling occurred BEFORE Trump took office, dimwit

I like him too, OP. America is a great nation and rather than trying to tear us down and separate us, he's trying to unite us so we can achieve even more.

And no one can unite a nation better than a president who calls half of his constituents “scum”!

I agree with your sentiment, PP, but the previous poster is not even accurate. Just because he found one gas station with cheaper gas does not mean that it is cheaper overall. It is not.

That said, even if it were, it would not be worth losing our rights.

Border enforcement is a disorganized mess. Ask any ICE, HSI or Border Patrol agent. Very little is being done on the federal law enforcement front other than immigration work. Meanwhile, drug trafficking, child exploitation, money laundering and just about any other crime is fair game.

How is a $3 trillion bill supposed to help inflation, gas and egg prices? My local government just released their economic outlook for 2026 and it is a mild recession, mostly due to tariff uncertainty and rising costs.
