Infertility Support and Discussion
| I would definitely recommend you go to Cornell. They deal with difficult cases all the time and yet their stats are good. You should at least get a consult. |
New poster here who's looking for a second opinion. I didn't know phone consults were possible. Has someone done one? Presumably you send up your records in advance? |
| It's easy to set up a phone consult with CCRM - you jsut send them your records (warning -- it can take a couple weeks to get your records from SG). I think Dr Davis at Cornell does not do phone consults. |
I've heard that Dr. Chung at Cornell might do phone consults? We did an in-person consult with our RE up there...it's an easy day trip (train/bus). |
| Dr. Davis does not do phone consults. You can call the main number at Cornell to confirm which docs do. Also, Cornell does not use vitrification for freezing. |

OP - Have you read _Making Babies_ by David and Blakeway? I'm reading it now, and it's terrific. It's co-written by a reproductive endocrinologist and an acupuncturist. They include lots of information of causes of infertility that many RE's commonly overlook. It also outlines signs and symptoms to look for in narrowing down your personal fertility challenges, tests to ask your doctor for, and proactive lifestyle changes, nutrition, and supplements for specific health issues. I'm finding it a really empowering and hope-inspiring read.
I wish you the best! (PS - both authors practice in NYC, so it would be relatively easy to go there for a consult if you're willing to take a short trip.) |
| If you are looking out for second opinion You may try overseas at The Deccan Fertility Clinic and Keyhole Surgery Center situated in Mumbai, India. The clinic and the team of doctors is really very good. You may contact them at http://www.testtubebabyclinic.com/new/default.asp |
