| I double checked my sons SOL scores last night and I was wrong. They did skip the 4th grade SOL. He took the 5th grade SOL in 4th grade. My apologies for misremembering and confusing the subject. |
They are supposed to skip the 5th grade SOL. Advanced math kids follow this track for SOLs in elem: 3rd grade - take regular 3rd grade math SOL 4th grade - take regular 4th grade math SOL 5th grade - take 6th grade math sol (one year above) 6th grade - take 7th grade math sol (one year above) |
Well my DD was in Gen-ed because she didn't make the cut in second grade ( had better score than DS who got in with no issue, DD just took Cogat a month or two before covid ) and when she got into 5th grade AAP she skipped the 5th grade math SOL and has results for 3rd, 4th, 6th, and 7th grade math scores but not for 5th. |
That is correct and what I already said. The kids in advanced math in 5th skip the 5th grade SOL. There is no 5th grade SOL on their testing record in SIS because starting in 5th, they take the test one grade level above. They do this for both the AAP kids and kids only in advanced math. |
