If applying to any Ivy League make sure your account if pro Israeli. Those schools are screening for that content.

I don’t know about whether the college tracks followers etc, but it would be a lot more work to go and manually check all the schools’ sites regularly, rather than just seeing updates with a once-a-day IG review of accounts you follow. I’m sure they have that information elsewhere but it’s probably harder to track down and overall more work.

It also seems like something important to have when finding roommates.

For those reasons, I would encourage them to at least have an account.
