Tom Cruise is hot and it's traditional for women to like men older than them by around 15-20 years on average.

No it is actually not the same. Nicole actually wanted to be involved but her children were brainwashed and she was labeled a suppressive person. However, I do recall Bella being present at Nicole’s wedding to Keith. Tom didn’t want to be involved with Suri due to his religion.
