Questions about son's plans for gap year between college and law school

He should absolutely take it, for the break and to decide if he really wants to go to law school. I wish I had pressed pause after undergrad to evaluate my future instead of trucking on with a degree I no longer use.

The student is a rising junior.

Have him research whether the law schools he wants to apply to allow a deferral and a ski bum gap year. He may have to apply from out west and realize some schools won’t look as kindly on the ski experience.

If he does take the year, make sure he stays on your health insurance and pay his car insurance. He pays everything else.
