I’m all with you on calling/writing GOP senators, which I’ve been doing, but we’ve got to tell the truth here. It’s not a blip. If it were, it wouldn’t be this big. This is who we are. It’s ugly, but a lot of POC understood this. It’s time we do too. |
What counts as a few? 1000? 100K? 1 million? |
I do not want my tax dollars given to Trump supporters in red states. They are bad people. |
I have a relative who has benefitted from FEMA help near Asheville, NC. We are all vulnerable to whatever fate may deal out to us. |
Mother nature always wins. |
This plan for FEMA (to push the financial responsibility back to the states) is literally in Project 2025. I don’t understand why all these MAGA people didn’t see that — it was in plain sight: page 154 here: https://static.project2025.org/2025_MandateForLeadership_CHAPTER-05.pdf
“The principles of federalism should be upheld; these indicate that states better understand their unique needs and should bear the costs of their particularized programs.” |
They saw it. MAGA assumes the law wouldn't apply to them, because they are loyal to Boss Trump. |
I love that journey for Sanders and every resident of AR who voted for Trump.
Red states need to learn to pull themselves up by their bootstraps. Maybe get to the core of things and figure out why more people don't want to move to their states to contribute to their economies. Maybe invest in some programs or incentives to get big companies to move there like Georgia has done with the film industry. |
I'm sure he'll take good care of FL during hurricane season, but residents of other Southern red states should be pretty worried. Looking at you SC, NC, GA, MS, and LA. |
He’s already cut off FEMA support to western NC |
At the rate he’s going, he’ll only approve FEMA for FL if a hurricane hits Mar-a-Lago. |
